Synopsis

New York 1197

En 1997, Manhattan est devenu une immense île-prison ou trois millions de détenus sont organisés en bandes rivales. A la suite d'un attentat, l'avion du Président des Etats-Unis se crashe dans le pénitencier. Le chargé de sécurité Bob Hauk décide d'envoyer un prisonnier pour le récupérer. Ce détenu s'appelle Snake Plissken.

Lâché à l'intérieur, il doit se frayer un chemin en évitant les loubards et les cannibales qui peuplent Manhattan. Snake n'a que quelques heures pour récupérer le président, éviter un incident diplomatique catastrophique et surtout... désamorcer les mini-bombes qu'on lui a implantées dans le corps à son insu.
